This is THE PHP book in my opinion. As you go through it you find ways to do things that you would actually WANT to do with a website. It’s not just some tutorial piece that will never relate to anything you will come across.
Very practical guide, even for a PHP novice. Packed with information, but at the same time is not too dry to read.
